Local storage, system services and your choices.

On your device

Scans, originals, edits and document details are stored in the app. Scanfy has no account, ads, document server or product analytics service of its own. Signatures you save are kept only on your device in the app and are excluded from device and cloud backups and from transfers to another device, so they never leave your device. Pages you sign are part of your documents and follow the same system backup settings as other documents. Scanfy never uploads, syncs or shares your signatures. You can delete saved signatures at any time.

Sharing and backups

You choose the destination when exporting files; its privacy rules apply. Your operating system may automatically back up local files and the database according to your settings. Scanfy’s publisher does not operate or receive those backups.

Allowance restoration

A small allowance record may be kept in Apple iCloud Key-Value storage after reinstallation. It contains allowance times, time zone and format version, not scanned content, boot time, monotonic values or the local integrity signature.

Android

A small allowance record may be kept in Google Block Store after reinstallation. It contains allowance times, time zone and format version, not scanned content, boot time, monotonic values or the local integrity signature. Google cloud backup is requested only after confirmed end-to-end encryption; otherwise local/device-to-device storage is requested.

Purchases

The store handles payments, subscriptions and refunds. Scanfy reads purchase information to provide your plan. Store services and SDKs may send operational or diagnostic information under their own policies. Scanfy does not receive payment card details.

Permissions

The camera captures pages. The system picker imports only photos you select. Sharing or saving through another app follows that app’s permissions. You can change camera permissions in device settings.

Retention and deletion

Saved documents and drafts remain until you delete them or remove app data. Temporary export files may be cleaned up later. Deleting a document does not delete exported copies or system backups. Allowance records can survive app removal under the system service’s lifecycle. Scanfy is a general-purpose tool, not directed at children.
